co-writing on the Unmasking Space
2022
with Michael Hoi Ming Du, Nina Hsu, Qianer Zhu
One of the results of several conversations and discussions that eventually led to the formation of the student collective Unmasking Space, this text stemmed from our shared experiences and struggles as students at the ETH Department of Architecture. With Michael, Qianer and Nina e produced four texts reflecting on the role, urgency and (im)possibilities that students face because of the systemic inequalities, exclusion, racism, euro-centrism and sexism currently built in the architectural education canon.

Each text became an individually written chapter, collectively edited, annotated and discussed while experimenting on the possibilities of working in a form of co-authorship that empowers the individual voices. Many of these words were influenced by conversations with prof. dr. Hollyamber Kennedy and a shared workshop on the establishment of an indigenous pluriversity held in the spring of 2022.
