Giacomo Rossi is an architect, researcher, and curator based between Switzerland and Italy. His work investigates spatial practices as agents of empowerment in relation to labour, activism, and social and environmental politics. Having studied at ETH Zurich and Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio, he has practiced in firms across Europe and Asia. Aside from being a board member of Ca’Buccari, a cultural space in Venice, Giacomo has collaborated on exhibitions at CCA Montréal, Kunsthalle Zürich, and Triennale Milano, among others.

Currently an editor at trans magazin, he is one of the co-founders of Unmasking Space—a student-led platform for critical pedagogies at ETH Zurich—and of the soft resistance collective, exploring alternatives to the normative home from a queer perspective. As part of his research and activist engagement, Giacomo has lectured and organized workshops at Princeton, UPenn, Center for Architecture (NYC) and BFH Bern. His work has been published by dpr_barcelona, Werk, Bauen+Wohnen, and Oz Journal and has been awarded both by the Federation of Swiss Architects and the Seoul Metropolitan Government, South Korea.
