Situated within the highly divided landscape of Almería, the southernmost province of Spain, this design for cooperative housing was developed within the framework of the Studio of Arno Brandlhuber at ETH Zurich, between October and December 2021. It was informed by conversations with local union activists, workers, migrants, researchers and farmers that happened on site. It is a radical cohabitation project intended to host displaced farm owners, workers and tourists, part of a larger reform of land ownership towards a collective and shared model. The modular complex was at the center of Future after Future, a short film that was produced alongside the design phase.
